| Anessa Malik is an Auckland-based actor with a strong foundation in Musical Theatre. Originally from Malaysia, she moved to Auckland in 2019 to pursue a BA in Theatre and Psychology. Her passion for musical theatre deepened during her studies, prompting her to further refine her skills at the New York Conservatory of Performing Arts, where she completed a summer intensive course in 2023 on scholarship. Anessa’s most recent role was as the Mimi Alternate in MPA's 2024 production of Rent. She is now exploring the world of screen acting and is eager to dive into the realms of TV and film. Outside of her acting career, Anessa enjoys spending her free time at the beach, rock climbing, and hanging out with friends. |
