Carie is a vibrant Auckland-based, American-born actor who brings intelligence, curiosity, and depth to each role. Alongside a range of North American (native Southern USA) and European accents, she brings a uniquely rich professional background to her performances; including university teaching, veterinary and laboratory work, animal handling, horseback riding, PADI-certified scuba diving, and public speaking. In addition to a PhD (biological psychology), she has trained in screen and general acting, bringing intelligence, emotional depth, and versatility to her work, and continues to refine her craft through ongoing education. Outside of acting, Carie enjoys creative writing, reading, cooking, yoga, hiking, watersports, nature photography, and life with her dogs.
