| Sha’s love for acting began in childhood, though her creative journey initially led her in other directions. In the late 1980s, she was scouted by a London modeling agency, launching a career in front of the camera that eventually evolved into one behind it, as a portrait photographer. After starting a family, she channeled her creativity into becoming an illustrator and paper cut artist, crafting intricate paper models for commercial clients while raising her children. Her life transformed dramatically after battling cancer twice and receiving a devastating six-month prognosis. In her own words, this moment was when she "truly began to live.” Determined to pursue her dreams, Sha returned to education, studying hair and makeup while supporting herself through modeling and background acting work. It was on set that she rekindled her childhood passion for acting and committed to pursuing it professionally. She immersed herself in training at the Actors Lab and attended New Zealand Stunt School, where she particularly enjoyed sword fighting. Today, Sha is cancer-free and advocates passionately for access to cutting-edge medications. Her journey embodies her core philosophy; life is precious and fleeting - seize every opportunity to pursue what brings you joy. |
