| Tawhero (Taf) is a South Auckland-based actor with a strong foundation in Māori performing arts. Before pursuing acting, he competed with one of Auckland’s top kapa haka groups, honing his stage presence and storytelling skills. This passion for performance led him to study at Yoobee South Seas Film and TV. In 2024, Tawhero appeared in Shortland Street and was a finalist for Best Actor in a Short Film for Amalgamate, written and directed by Holly Grove. He also guest-starred in the award-winning short film The Great South, written and directed by Taniora Ormsby. |
